The Business Premises Support Scheme provides a payment grant payment to eligible businesses, equivalent to a business' annual rates bill for each of its commercial premises.
It originally opened on Wednesday 31 March 2021, and closed on Friday 14 May 2021.
Update - 26 July 2021
The Business Premises Support Scheme will reopen for a second time on Friday 30th July 2021, to support businesses, individuals and self-employed persons within customer facing sectors that are impacted by the recent rise in COVID-19 cases.
Support will be available for those in customer facing roles who are unable to work from home (such as those in the retail, catering, leisure and lifestyle sectors) and are affected by self-isolation requirements of staff or drop in customer demand.
Applicants will fill in one application form and will be entitled to claim either the Business Premises Support Scheme, which is equivalent to one years’ business premises rates payment, or a lump sum payment of £1,000 via the Business Premises Support Scheme.
How to Apply
Full guidelines and the application form for the extended support for businesses (July/August 2021) and how to apply will be available from Friday, 30 July.
