If you’re unemployed, fit for work and are not self-isolating you may be able to get Jobseeker’s Allowance.
How much you can get will depend on your age, your National Insurance record and your circumstances.
If you want to make a claim for jobseeker’s allowance or if you’d like more information, contact the Jobseeker’s Allowance Team at JSA@gov.im, call them on 685126, visit their website or visit a social security office. Social Security’s main office is located at Markwell House, Market Street, Douglas IM1 2RZ and is open from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday.
The Manx Earnings Replacement Allowance – MERA – is being brought back into effect immediately and is available to both employed earners and self-employed people who are made redundant, laid off or put on nil pay by their employer.
