Border changes with effect from 5 January 2021

From 00.01 Thursday 07 January the following changes to border restrictions apply:

  • Entry only approved for returning Isle of Man residents and a very small number of key workers critical to the preservation of life or national infrastructure
  • There are revised rules around self isolation, testing and exercise 
  • Any previously issued compassionate or contractual certificates are now suspended for the duration of the circuit breaker. All those affected will be contacted separately.

Accommodation for self-isolation

Residents arriving on-island must self-isolate in a separate household and in accordance with the border changes effective from 00.01 Thursday 7 January 2021:

£250 accommodation subsidy

The Isle of Man Government’s offer of a one-off contribution of up to £250 per person, per week towards the costs of finding alternative accommodation for self-isolation purposes is no longer available as of the 31 December 2020.
