A second death from coronavirus has been confirmed on the Isle of Man. The 57 year old man passed away in the intensive care unit at Noble’s Hospital on Saturday 11 April.

The man was a former police officer and a further news release from the Chief Constable will be issued later this morning.

Since the last update (4pm Saturday 11 April) there have been no further confirmed positive tests for coronavirus.

The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Isle of Man now stands at 226.

In total 212 patients have been instructed to self-isolate and 12 are being treated at the hospital. The contact tracing process is already underway led by Public Health.

There have been 1,929 concluded tests, 59 people are awaiting results and 83 people are awaiting tests.

In total 129 individuals are presumed recovered.
