Bus vannin continues to review its timetable in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
From tomorrow, Thursday 26 March, the same Winter Sunday Service will be in operation as today with some added Saturday Services, as detailed on www.bus.im.
Due to zero demand the reduced school bus service provided today for children of key workers will no longer run.
A further change being introduced from tomorrow will see no cash being accepted. This measure will be in place in order to maintain our bus service and support the people who rely on it.
Customers will be required to pay by contactless or Go Cards.
The £2 fee for a Go Card is being temporarily waived and they can be picked up from the following locations:
- Douglas Ticket Hall (this facility will move to Lord Street Police Station in the following days)
- Ramsey Bus Depot
- Port Erin Railway Station
- Peel Family History Building, Derby Road, Peel
Go cards can also be purchased and topped up online by visiting www.bus.im/gocards
Before travelling with bus vannin, ask yourself why you need to travel.
If it’s not for:
- Necessary food
- Health reasons
- Essential work
- Going to/from school (key workers’ children)
Then simply STAY AT HOME. Lives depend on it.
